H\u00e9riti\u00e8res des dispositifs immersifs de projections du XIXe si\u00e8cle d\u2019une d\u00e9mocratisation du savoir \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, ces avalanches d\u2019images exp\u00e9rimentales proc\u00e8dent par un court-circuit des raisonnements inductifs, l\u2019abolition des fronti\u00e8res entre les disciplines, et entre les champs de la connaissance et de l\u2019apprentissage. Loin d\u2019\u00eatre des cas d\u2019\u00e9tude du pass\u00e9, elles tentent de contrecarrer la perte d\u2019attention li\u00e9e aux s\u00e9ductions technologiques de la vision et leur impact, une pr\u00e9occupation dont nous faisons l\u2019exp\u00e9rience encore aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Historienne et th\u00e9oricienne du design, professeure ordinaire en histoire et th\u00e9orie de l&rsquo;art et du design \u00e0 la HEAD\u2013Gen\u00e8ve\/HES-S, Alexandra Midal associe une pratique d&rsquo;artiste et de commissaire d&rsquo;exposition ind\u00e9pendante \u00e0 une recherche en culture visuelle qu&rsquo;elle traduit dans des \u0153uvres, des expositions, des livres et des films. Elle a publi\u00e9 de nombreux ouvrages (La Manufacture du meurtre ; Antidesign, petite histoire de la capsule d&rsquo;habitation en images ; Design, l&rsquo;anthologie ; Introduction \u00e0 l&rsquo;histoire du design ; Matali Crasset\u2026), dirig\u00e9 de nombreux catalogues et publi\u00e9 des essais dans des revues et catalogues internationaux (MoMA, MOCA, Centre Pompidou, Walker Art Center, etc.).
